YSP has eight distinct outdoor 'gallery' spaces located in the 500 acre Bretton Estate. Designed in the 18th and 19th centuries, this varied landscape is a rich environment for some of the best modern and contemporary sculpture created by international artists. YSP presents changing special exhibitions and individual works by eminent artists all year round, so there are always at least 40 sculptures on display in the landscape.
Temporary indoor exhibitions take place in the Underground Gallery, Bothy Gallery, Garden Gallery and Longside Gallery.

New Acquisitions From the Arts Council Collection 2010 at Longside Gallery, Yorkshire Sculpture Park
Rod Dickinson + Tom McCarthy
Greenwich Degree Zero
In this major multimedia installation, on display in the UK for the first time since it was created in 2006, French Anarchist Martial Bourdin’s failed 1894 attempt to blow up the Royal Observatory is re-imagined as a successful attack. Reflecting on issues of mediation and repetition Dickinson & McCarthy rework newspaper reports from the time and present fake film and photography to fit their version of events.

New Acquisitions From the Arts Council Collection 2010 at Longside Gallery, Yorkshire Sculpture Park
Anne Hardy
Recent Work
Anne Hardy’s photographs depict constructed, fictional spaces that she creates within the studio using a range of materials and found objects. The resulting images convey unusual and dreamlike environments, mostly devoid of human presence. Hardy’s work reflects and comments on how we live in today in a throwaway culture where objects have little value and are often taken for granted.
