Case studies: using buildings & places

There are many helpful resources available online to assist in developing innovative teaching and learning activities.

To alleviate you from the time it takes to find these resources, the Engaging Places team has located some great school case studies on ways to use buildings and places within teaching and learning.

National curriculum online examples
‘Curriculum in action’ is a section on the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) website (under key stages 3 and 4) that provides real examples of how schools have revamped their schemes of work.

Learning Outside the Classroom case studies
The Learning Outside the Classroom (LOtC) website provides teachers with a helpful collection of school and classroom case studies that cover a variety of topics, curricula and formats.
