The competition winners are:

A year’s English Heritage membership
Alan Newland of the General Teaching Council for England, who says “I’m delighted – it’s excellent news – especially as I want to visit Charles Darwin’s house this year”.

Alan provided a class activity suggestion for Gateshead Millennium Bridge, in which students could test the strength of materials in designing various arches and bridges that have different load-bearing capacities. An interesting way to use the built environment in learning about materials, science and physics.

A year’s Geographical Association membership
Mr A Knill, assistant headteacher, Bower Park School, Essex

Two tickets for RIBA’s Le Corbusier show
Gregor MacGregor, Canterbury College FE, Kent

A class visit to a Historic Royal Palaces venue
Mrs P. Noble, Hartsdown Technology College, Kent

Congratulations to all the winners, and a big thank you to our prize sponsors – English Heritage, the Geographical Association, RIBA Trust, and Historic Royal Palaces.
