Sacred Art: stone and glass - the work of Bodley and Kempe

A learning resource which uses Victorian churches and Gothic Revival art as a starting point to inspire curriculum-based work in art and design. Includes a wealth of stimulating imagery, is compatible with an interactive whiteboard and offers QCA-style schemes of work and suggested activities. Sacred Art will help teachers make the most of a class visit to a local Victorian building, including the many fine churches in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust.

A resource for teachers and parents of children of all ages and abilities. It will help them to make the most of a visit to a church and churchyard and is full of interesting ideas for activities in the classroom, the home and on visits. The book covers most aspects of the curriculum with sections on Citizenship and other places of worship. There are photocopiable drawings and resource sheets, including a Picture Library, Timeline and on-site activity sheet.
