Your organisation’s products and services are relevant to built environment education if the focus is on any of the following topics:

  • architecture – contemporary or heritage
  • environmental issues (surrounding built environment)
  • conservation and construction of buildings and places
  • meaningful interaction with place and space
  • role of place and space in identity, culture and community.

To have your organisation or venue educational information and programmes listed on the Engaging Places website (for free), visit the direct data entry (DDE) page, hosted by Culture24.

For any queries or support in regards to the DDE system or to list your resources on the Engaging Places website, please email dde@culture24.org.uk or call Ruth at Culture24 on 01273 623266.

For cultural venues that do not offer specific built environment programmes or resources, your information can be listed on Culture24's website.

About the Engaging Places database
The Engaging Places online database helps you to promote your events and initiatives to an interested and proactive audience of educators throughout England and further afield.

By taking part, you will be developing the strength of built environment education in England. By bringing the industry together, we will be able to make a greater statement for learning through buildings and places.

The Engaging Places website is powered by the Culture24 database of cultural venues and learning providers, enabling organisations and venues to log in using a password-protected online direct data entry system (DDE).

On the DDE you will be able to describe and catalogue all your relevant built environment educational resources, programmes, initiatives, events and exhibitions. This service is free of charge.

All the information you enter on the system will be displayed on your own webpage on the Engaging Places website. It will also appear on the new Culture24 website and be shared with a range of national and international partners.

For any queries or support in regards to DDE or to list your resources on the Engaging Places website, please email dde@culture24.org.uk or call Ruth at Culture24 on 01273 623266.
